to build Salome on
FreeBSD
This instruction helps you to build Salome version
5.1.* on FreeBSD platform.
Salome 5.1.4 commited to FreeBSD ports tree (meta-port cad/salome), have fun !
# cd /usr/ports/cad/salome && make config && make install clean
Known bugs
- You need gcc 4.4 build 2009.05.12 or earlier or you've got SIGABRT while starting GUI !
If you want build Salome on FreeBSD/amd64, look at PR ports/143929
- Salome-GUI cannot compiled with VTK 5.8 at this moment, you should use older version VTK for salome build
TODO LIST:
- Salome 6.5.0 porting - it can be possible after updating Opencascade port to 6.5.0
- dependency from sysinfo library (will be done when this PR will be commited)
- Optional build with science/paraview instead math/vtk5
- ... something else ?
